ARTURO PANI

Born in Mexico City in 1915 and died in 1981. His family established in Paris in 1925, where they remained until 1935. He studied at the School of Fine Arts in Paris with his brother, the architect Mario Pani. Later, Arturo decided to dedicate himself to decoration and design, while Mario was dedicated to the construction of functional buildings throughout the city. Arturo established himself as a functionalism furniture designer thanks to the orders made by the Hotel Reforma and the Hotel Del Prado.

Later, during the 60s and 70s, he received a greater reception among the high class thanks to his designs of iron and glass, manufactured in limited quantities, in different workshops around the city.
